After global supply chains became increasingly unreliable, manufacturing moved closer to where things were actually needed. Small fabrication labs replaced many traditional suppliers, and people became accustomed to producing highly specific objects locally.

I started by making things that were difficult or impossible to buy: replacement parts, tools, household objects, weird little solutions to very specific problems. Eventually, I realized that the real opportunity wasn't printing objects — it was designing a system that could turn someone's oddly specific problem into something they could actually use.
